Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Villa Vista Guesthouse, Windhoek
Upon arrival at the Windhoek International (Hosea Kutako) Airport, you will be collected and transfered to Villa Vista Guesthouse in Windhoek, a small and informal retreat offering highly-personalised service.

Day 2 Okonjima Plains Camp, Okonjima Nature Reserve
Enjoy a leisurely start before driving north to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, where you will overnight at Plains Camp. This afternoon, join an activity and have the chance to track the elusive but proud leopard, or see cheetah at close quarter and learn about the conservation of predators in Namibia, this is a highly recommended destination

Day 3 Doro Nawas Camp, Damaraland
Drive through the Barren landscape of Damaraland to Doro Nawas Camp, en route you may decide to stop at Twyfelfointein to see some of the famous rock etchings - one of the largest collections in Southern Africa, and where a local guide will show you some of this ancient art and explain the history of the area before continuing to the lodge and base for the night.

Day 4-5 Grootberg Lodge, Damaraland
Perhaps join an guided Nature Drive excursion searching for some of the game in the area including zebra, kudu and elephant, before returning to the lodge prior to lunch time. From here, journey to northern Damaraland, this is a community-based establishment, where plateaus reach the skyline and strange plant life dominates the surrounds.

Day 6 Dolomite Camp, Etosha National Park
Today drive to Etosha, one of the best reserves in Southern Africa and enter the park through the western gate and start your game viewing exploring the area looking out for baboons, mountain zebra and other species of game not found further east.

Day 7 Okaukuejo Rest Camp, Etosha National Park
Game drive to Okaukuejo and from this base search for predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, as well as hyena. This area is renowned for black rhino and they can often be found close to the floodlit waterhole around sunset - a guaranteed highlight during the dry season. Large herds of elephant and lone bulls shower in nearby waterholes and take on a "white, chalky" look. Etosha rarely disappoints with its incredible sightings

Day 8 Onguma Bush Camp, Etosha National Park
Continues to game drive across the park stopping various waterholes - its also worth visiting Etosha Pan. From East Etosha, leave the park gate and turn immediately into Onguma Private Game Reserve, adjacent to the national park and sharing Fischers pan, here you will game drive to bush camp, and perhaps enjoy an optional activity such as sunset or night drive in an open vehicle.

Day 9 Hakusembe River Lodge, Kavango
An early morning start for a long drive Rundu, there is a significant change along the way in Namibia's more populated area in the region which receives the highest rainfall in the country - this is rural Namibia with villages and people; cattle and goat grazing by the side of the road yet the region manages to feel wild and untamed in the game reserves.

Day 10- 11 Nunda River Lodge, Bwabwata National Park
Onto Nunda River Lodge, situated on the banks of the Okavango River that leads into the famous Okavango Delta. This region is more fertile than other areas of Namibia and huge trees offers shade from the scorching sun. 2nights are spent overlooking the Okavango River, you can join optional activities or explore the nearby parks looking out for sable, buffalo and other water-dependent game

Day 12 Namushasha River Lodge, Bwabwate National Park
Your drive takes you across the famous Caprivi Strip (now known as Zambezi), en-route keep your eyes open for elephant that may cross the road in the National park area. The lodge on the banks of the Kwando River, opposite Bwabwata park watch out for crocodiles and hippos from the wooden deck.

Day 13-14 Chobe Bush Lodge, Chobe River Front
Cross the border into Botswana, journey through Chobe National park to Kasane, your base for the next 2 nights. The lodge is situated on the river and adjacent to the park, here you can enjoy optional activites such as a boat cruise or game drive into the park in search for wildlife such as hippo, crocodiles and huge elephant herds, Chobe has one of the largest amounts of elephant to any park in Southern Africa and if you are lucky then you can see them bathing and crossing the river near sunset.

Day 15-16 Ilala Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
This morning leave your vehicle behind and a pre-arranged transfer will take you across the border to the mighty Victoria Falls, where you can enjoy a visit to appreciate the scale and power of the falls. There are many optional activities helicopter and plane flights over the falls, breakfast on Livingston Island, and for the more adventurous gorge swinging or white water rafting.

Day 17 Departure
Transfer to Victoria Falls airport and take your onward flight (transfer included).
