Overview:
Departing from Windhoek, this 2week self-drive takes you to the major “must see” destinations of Namibia including the dynamic Sossusvlei, the quirky coastal town of Swakopmund and Skeleton Coast, Twyfelfontein and Etosha National Park. From here continue east to the water-rich Zambezi area where over 400 bird species have been recorded, along with abundant wildlife and herds of free-roaming elephant. You'll enter Botswana and visit Chobe, before finishing at one of the Natural Wonders of the World - Victoria Falls!

Safari Itinerary

Day 1-2 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
This morning, enjoy the stunning scenery on the drive to Sesriem, the main campsite and entry to the famous sand dunes of Sossusvlei. The following day, rise early to venture into the dune fields - visit the remarkable Dead Vlei, climb a sand dune and experience the endless vistas of sand!

Day 3-4 Namib Guesthouse, Swakopmund
Today's journey takes you across the desert gravel plains and onto the Atlantic coastline to Swakopmund, the adventure capital of Namibia. Here, take part in optional activities such as a scenic flight, day trip to Sandwich Harbour, kayaking, catamaran/marine cruise or for the more adventurous, sky diving, sandboarding or quad biking - the list of activities is long and there is plenty to keep you occupied.

Day 5 Madisa Camp, Damaraland
Drive north along the gravel plains of the Skeleton Coast to a huge seal colony before turning inland to Damaraland, known for its dramatic landscapes and ancient spiritual sites of the San people - here you can see collections of rock etchings and paintings. Keep your eyes open for the elusive desert elephant that roam the river beds.

Day 6-8 Okaukuejo /Halali/Namutoni Campsite, Etosha National Park
Three nights are spent in Etosha National Park, Namibia's premier game viewing destination, from big cats such as lion and leopard, to huge herds of antelope and over 340 species of birds, there is plenty to look out for on game drives.

Day 9 Hakusembe River Lodge Camping, Kavango
This is rural Namibia with villages and people; cattle and goats graze by the side of the road yet the region manages to feel wild and untamed in the game reserves. The lodge and campsite tonight, is situated on the riverbank and overlooks Angola

Day 10- 11 Camp Kwando, Linyanti Concessions
Drive through the Caprivi Strip/Zambezi and Bwabwata Game Reserve today, keeping your eyes open for animals such as free-roaming elephants that may cross your path. The next nights you will be based on the Kwando River overlooking Botswana - enjoy further game drives in Mudumu National Park.

Day 12 Chobe Safari Lodge Campsite, Chobe River Front
Cross the border into Botswana and onto Kasane, enjoy an optional game drive or boat cruise this afternoon on the Chobe River. Chobe National Park is home to a dense population of elephants in Africa and everywhere you look you will see them - a joy to watch. In addition, you may see predators such as lion and leopard, aswell as game including lechwe, roan, sable, buffalo and plenty of hippos and crocs - a great way to end ypour game viewing experience.

Day 13-14 A'Zambezi River Lodge, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Your final two nights of this great adventure takes you into Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe, there are plenty of activities to enjoy including bungee jumping, white water rafting, scenic flights by helicopter, light aircraft and micro light, elephant back riding and much more, of course, no trip is complete without a visit to the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the Natural Wonders of the World.
