Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Chameleon Backpackers Guesthouse, Windhoek
Collect your vehicle and head to Chameleon Guesthouse & Backpackers in Windhoek. Here, you will meet one of our tour consultant's who will go through your travel plans with you and depending on the time of your arrival perhaps wander onto the city centre, or relax by the pool.

Day 2 Kalahari Anib Campsite, Kalahari Namibia
This morning, head south onto the red dunes of the Kalahari Basin, where you will overnight in the midst of Kalahari amongst red sand

Day 3-4 Canyon Roadhouse Campsite, Fish River Canyon
Continue your drive south to Fish River Canyon, reputed to be the second-largest in the world. Walk along the rim and enjoy its' magnificence

Day 5-6 Sesriem Campsite, Sossusvlei
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy the remarkable sand dune sea of the Namib Naukluft and Sossusvlei. Climb one of the highest dunes in the world and look around at the endless sand vistas!

Day 7-8 A La Mer Hotel, Swakopmund
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund today, en-route you may choose to stop at Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon, a protected RAMSAR wetland site, to see many species of birds of birds including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, avocets, plovers and the endemic Damara tern. Join optional activities during your stay - ideal for adrenaline junkies or those seeking a quieter pace!

Day 9-10 Hoada Camp Site, Damaraland
An early morning start as you drive north along the Skeleton Coast road passing remains of old mining equipment and battered ship wrecks before inland to the stunning Damara landscapes. Join optional activities such as rhino or elephant tracking, nature drives and walks

Day 11-12 Okaukuejo Campsite, Etosha National Park
Onward to Etosha, one of the best game reserves in Southern Africa and home to many species of game including lion, leopard, elephant, hyena, giraffe, and many types of antelope including the endemic black-faced impala and endangered species such as rhino and cheetah

Day 13 Mushara Bush Camp, Etosha National Park
Continue game driving to the east of the park - stop at Etosha Pan where you can stand on this huge, white expanse where shimmering mirages and ethereal shapes mesmerise.

Day 14 Omboroko Campsite, Okonjima Nature Reserve
Head south to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, learn about predator consevation in Namibia and in particular about the endangered cheetah.

Day 15 Departure
Return to Windhoek, perhaps stopping at Okahandja craft markets where you can barter for Africa wooden craft before continuing to the city to drop off your vehicle and take your onward connection.
