Safari Itinerary

Day 1-2 Swakopmund Sands Hotel, Swakopmund
Collect your vehicle and drive to the coastal town to the historic and adventure seaside of Swakopmund where you will have the opportunity to join optional activities on offer. A place for adventure for everyone from marine or desert cruises, to sky diving and quad-biking along with scenic flights

Day 3 Camp Kipwe, Damaraland
Head along the Skeleton Coast before turning inland and drive past the Brandberg Massif before continuing onto Camp Kipwe, nestled amongst the granite boulders and where you'll overnight. It's close to the famous Twyfelfontein Rock Etchings known for its Bushman art.

Day 4-6 Grootberg Lodge, Damaraland
Continue your drive to the heart of Damaraland, this is a community-based establishment, where plateaus reach high on the skyline and strange plant life dominates the surroundings. 3 nights are spent here and we strongly recommend joining an excursion such as the rhino tracking, supporting the protection of one of the greatest animals known - the endangered black rhino. You can also track the elusive desert elephant, or visit one of the local communities to get a better understanding of one of Namibia's tribes

Day 7-8 Dolomite Camp, Etosha National Park
Onward to Etosha, one of the best game reserves in Southern Africa, entering the park through the western gate - this section was previously set aside for research and only in the last few years opened to tourists with the inception of Dolomite Camp, it attract other species you will not see in other areas of the park such as Hartmanns mountain zebra and baboons.
You will be based in/around the park for six nights to fully appreciate and maximize your game viewing experiences, driving out during early mornings and late afternoons when the animals are most active.

Day 9-10 Okaukuejo Rest Camp, Etosha National Park
Game drive from Dolomite to Okaukuejo, stopping at waterholes en route. Watch out for black and white rhino, elephant, giraffe, mountain and Burchill's zebra, wildebeest, and of course, predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.

Day 11-12 Onguma Bush Camp, Etosha National Park
Continue game driving further east - this route ensures you experience most of the park and the various habitats. It's worth visiting Etosha Pan simply gaze at the endless horizons, before continuing to Von Lindequist Gate and exiting the park. Onguma shares its border with Etosha and you can take part in nature walks or further game drives

Day 13 Okonjima Plains Camp, Ok0njima Nature Reserve
Leave Etosha behind, but your game viewing experience is not over yet. Okonjima is home to the famous AfriCat Foundaton, one of Namibia's premier conservation programmes and this afternoon join an activity - perhaps track the radio-collared leopard, visit the educational centre, head out searching for cheetah, or hyena - there are several to choose from before you head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 14 Departure
If time permits, you may join an extra activity this morning (own expense) before returning to Windhoek
