Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Villa Vista Guest House, Windhoek – 1night bed & breakfast
Upon arrival into Windhoek collect your vehicle and drive to your guesthouse in Windhoek. Here, you’ll be met by a tour consultant to go through your travel plans, hand over your welcome pack and answer any last minute questions. Depending on the time of arrival perhaps wander into the city centre, or relax by the pool.

Day 2&3 Namib Desert Lodge, for Sossusvlei & Namib Naukluft Park
Enjoy stunning scenery on the drive to Sesriem, the entry to the famous and dunes of Sossusvlei. Visit one of Namibia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites - it's a destination not to be missed. Explore on foot climbing a dune for endless vistas and take in the ever-changing colours of sand and shadows. Visit nearby Dune 45 & Sesriem Canyon

Day 4-6 “An Der Mole”, Swakopmund – 3nights self-catering apartment
Drive through the desert to Swakopmund, once at the coast visit Walvis Bay - a RAMSAR wetland site and numerous birds including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans and the endemic Damara tern reside. Take part in the exciting activities offered at the coast including marine cruise, desert tours and adventure activities

Day 7&8 Grootberg Lodge, Northern Damaraland – 2nights dinner, bed & breakfast
Drive north along the Skeleton Coast, visit Cape Cross to view a huge colony of seals and from here enter the Skeleton Coast Park and get a feel of this hostile and remote region passing remains of diamond and oil mining. Continue to the dramatic landscapes of Damaraland and Grootberg Lodge and the chance to search for rhino or desert elephant - a real adventure and highlight to your trip

Day 9&10 Etosha National Park – 2nights bed & breakfast
Onward to Etosha, one of the best game reserves in Southern Africa and home to many species of game including lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, hyena, giraffe, and many types of antelope including the endemic black faced impala.

Day 11 Frans Indongo Lodge, Otjiwarongo – 1night bed & breakfast
Overnight at Frans Indongo Lodge, situated on a private reserve, join an optional game drive to see unusual species such as black and white rhino, black springbok, roan, blesbok and the rare nyala. The lodge is ideally located to visit the nearby CCF - the Cheetah Conservation Fund and recommend a visit the educational centre and museum, their programme is an innovative one, not only do they educate the local farmers and villagers but train dogs to protect the livestock from the cheetahs ensuring that both survive.

Day 12 Erindi Private Game Reserve – 1night dinner, bed & breakfast
Onto Erindi - one of the largest private reserves in Southern Africa. Onto Erindi! This lodge has a huge amount of game and each room overlooks a waterhole - you may be lucky to see rhino or other game come to drink. It's also home to hippo and crocs - you won't see them elsewhere during thiis trip

Day 13 Windhoek – flight
From Erindi, drive to Okahandja Craft Markets where you can try your hand at bartering for any last minute gifts – there is a selection of African crafts. Continue to Windhoek where you will drop off your vehicle and take your onward flight.
