Safari Itinerary

Day 1-2 Kulala Desert Lodge, Sossusvlei
This morning collect your vehicle and drive via Rohoboth to Kulala Wilderness Reserve, where you are based for 2 nights with convenient access to the towering red dunes of the Namib. This afternoon your activity will explore the private reserve and the following morning enter the Namib Naukluft National Park via a private gate where your guide will escort you to the apricot dunes and ancient desert landscape of Sossusvlei and surrouding areas - there's the chance to climb a dune and take endless photos of Dead Vlei with its skeletal camel thorn trees, a testament to when water supported the region.

Day 3 Strand Hotel Swakopmund, Swakopmund
Perhaps this morning take part in an optional hot air balloon activity - you''ll be picked up from your accommodation prior to dawn and driven to the take-off point, and as the sun rises lift into the air and enjoy a 1 hour balloon excursion. The route may take you over dunes, gravel plains and other desert terrain - the route is never the same. Once you've touched down, enjoy a champagne breakfast in the heart of the desert before being returned to your lodge and from here drive to Swakopmund.

Day 4-5 Ongava Lodge, Etosha National Park
Today’s drive takes you to Ongava Lodge or Ongava Tented Camp both of which are set on an incredible private game bordering the Etosha National Park and where you will stay for two nights on a fully inclusive basis. Activities include game drive in open vehicles with other guests on the reserve as well as into Etosha, night drives and walk.

Day 6 Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp, Okonjima Nature Reserve
Enjoy a morning game drive or walk (though recommend you leave the park mid morning) before driving to Okonjima, situated just south of Otjiwarongo. The AfriCat Foundation is based here and is devoted to the conservation of predators, specifically cheetah and leopard with the aim to ease the conflict of interests that arises between humans and carnivores.

Day 7 Departure
This morning you may choose to enjoy an optional activity before returning to Windhoek in time to drop off car and take onward connections.
