Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Eka Hotel or similar, Nairobi– 1 night accommodation
After your evening arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our driver guide and transferred to the city hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2 Flamingo Hills Camp or similar, Lake Nakuru National Park
We have breakfast at leisure, and then drive through the Great Rift Valley where we will briefly stop for an opportunity to see and photography this great natural spectacle. Thereafter we proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en-route, arriving at our tented camp for lunch. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (greater and lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The Ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffalos and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. In the afternoon we head out to the park for an afternoon game drive till late afternoon. (BLD)

Day 3 Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar, Lake Naivasha
We enjoy breakfast at the camp, then head out for our morning game drive in the park until mid-day then proceed to the shores of Lake Naivasha for lunch. In the afternoon, we board a boat for a cruise to the Crescent Island National Park. We walk through the island which offers ample easily spotted wildlife like giraffes, waterbuck, eland, wildebeest, zebra and impalas. The island is also a heaven for birds with more than 200 species recorded. The lake has a lot of hippos, which you can easily view from the island. (BLD)

Day 4-6 Mara Eden Luxury Camp or similar, Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
We make our way to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at our accommodation in time for lunch and we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The one main aspect that makes the Masai Mara so well-known is that it is joined to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and therefore allows the free movement of wildebeest during the Great Migration. The next tow days are spent on morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara was names after the Masai, a tribe of nomadic traditional herders, who live within this protected park. This area is home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelle, impala and elephant. Hippo and crocodile are plentiful in the rivers here, and the birdlife is also abundant. On one of the days, we will have an opportunity to view wildlife from a different perspective through a nature walk. We leave the vehicles behing and head out for a morning walking safari in one of the private concessions adjacent to the Masai Mara. This gives us an opportunity to learn animal tracking and obtain a closer interaction with the wildlife. (BLD/BLD/BLD)

Day 7 Nairobi – End of Tour.
We head out for a last game drive into the Masai Mara before you are transferred back to Nairobi in time to catch your onward flight. End of services. (BL)
